In a machine for conveying and conditioning granular materials of the kind in which the material travels along a jigging conveyer consisting of inclined slats a between which air flows, air is extracted from the machine at several points from the space between the slats and the machine top e through a suction duct d ; the lower edges h, Fig. 2, of the slats are chamfered and controlled air inlets f are provided in the sides of the machine below the slats a. An air lock at each end comprises two spaced apart suspended flaps i, the lower ends of which are weighted and ride on the slats.
