Abstract

5 - (N - p - Dodecylphenylsulphamyl) - indazolone is prepared by heating together indazolone-5-sulphonyl chloride and p-dodecylaniline in dioxane. 5 - N - Phenylsulphamylindazolone and 5 - (N - a - naphthylsulphamyl) - indazolone are similarly prepared. 5 - (31 : 51 - Dicarboxyphenylsulphamyl) - indazolone is prepared by reacting indazolone-5-sulphonyl chloride with the diethyl ester of aniline-3: 5-dicarboxylic acid in dioxane, acidifying, and boiling the precipitate with caustic soda to hydrolyse the ester. 2 - Carbethoxy - 5 - (N - p - dodecylphenylsulphamyl)-indazolone is prepared by refluxing together 5 - (N - p - dodecylphenylsulphamyl) - indazolone, ethyl chloroformate, and dioxane. 2 - Carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (N - phenylsulphamyl) - indazolone, 2 - carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (N - phenyl : N - methylsulphamyl) - indazolone, 2 - carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (31 : 51 - dicarboxyphenylsulphamyl) - indazolone, 2 - carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (N - a - naphthylsulphamyl) - indazolone, 2 - carb - oleyloxy - 5 - (N - phenylsulphamyl) - indazolone, and 2 - carb - iso - amyloxy - 5-(N-phenylsulphamyl)-indazolone are similarly prepared. 2 - Carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (N - phenyl : N - methylsulphamyl) - indazolone sulphonic acid is prepared by adding chlorosulphonic acid to a solution of 2-carb-octadecoxy-5-(N-phenyl : N-methylsulphamyl)-indazolone in ethylene dichloride, and making alkaline with caustic soda. 2 - Carb - octadecoxy - 5 - (N - 41 - sulpho - 11 - naphthylsulphamyl)-indazolone is similarly prepared. Indazolone - 5 - sulphonyl chloride is prepared by stirring indazolone with chlorosulphonic acid at 40 DEG C. for 6 hours.
