[Also in Group XXI] In a mineral-mining, conveyer-cutter assembly in which one or more cutters 1 are drawn along guide means 3 on a conveyer 2 by cable haulage means 4, one or more guides having a sliding engagement with the guide means 3 are clamped to the cable or cables to prevent it or them dragging along the floor of the working. Each guide comprises portions 5, 6 clamped around the cable 4 and a further portion 8, 10 secured to the portion 6 to engage and slide along the guide means 3. Means 4 may be a cable or a chain. Specifications 693,081, [Group XXI], and 729,078 are referred to.
