Abstract

729,279. Cutting pulp-board. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. Sept. 2, 1953 [Oct. 31, 1952], No. 24286/53. Class 96. Pulp-board travelling along a roller table 2, driven by a chain 3 and electric motor 5, is cut longitudinally, e.g. at two positions, by cutter wheels transversely adjustable along a fixed beam 7, and is cut transversely by units 20 on a beam 11 carried by wheels 12 on rails 13 enabling the beam, driven by chain, shaft 15, reduction gear 16 and motor 17, &c., to traverse the table 2 and attain positions exterior thereto where it abuts spring stops for contacts reversing the drive of the motor 17. The board raises a feeler 21 to stop the motor 5 and apply a brake so that the board is stationary whilst it is cut transversely.
