Abstract
693,584. Biscuit-cutting machines. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTION GUILLAUME OOMS SOC. ANON. Oct. 18, 1950 [Nov. 9, 1949], No. 25351/50. Class 87 (ii). The cutters 2 are mounted on a support which is moved to travel with the dough sheet during cutting by an eccentric (32)-driven mechanism 20, 24, 30 positioned in the central longitudinal plane of the machine. The support has V-shaped surfaces (see Fig. 4, not shown) which engage correspondingly shaped surfaces of the machine frame. These latter surfaces may have a channel for lubricating oil. The longitudinal distance through which the cutters move may be adjusted by means of a threaded rod 23 which is rotated to vary the distance between the pivotal axis 25 of the lever 24 and the pivotal axis of the connection between the rod 20 and a slide 22 on the lever 24. The rod 20 is connected to the support for the cutters by a universal joint 19. The cutting action may take place through an elastic sheet 40, Fig. 7, and air escape holes 37 may be provided in the embosser 35.
