728,916. Personal sanitary conveniences. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. June 19, 1953 [June 26, 1952], No. 16132/52. Class 26. In a women's portable urinal device comprising a funnel portion 1 and a collector portion 9 connected thereto, the funnel portion is adapted to fit between the user's thighs, its mouth 3 having a configuration corresponding to the perineal region so as to fit in fluid-tight manner, with a crest 4 at its lowest part in use adapted to fit between the labial lips at the posterior commissure, and the device is also provided with a handle 15 extending from a boss 17 on the rear wall of the funnel portion and forwardly so as to overlie the lower abdomen for easy manipulation. The collector may be of flexible material, and the funnel of polymethyl-methacrylate or nylon, or of aluminium covered with plastic.
