867,348. Sanitary appliances. TERMAN, L. A. Sept. 9, 1959 [Sept. 25, 1958], No. 30837/59. Class 26. A personal sanitary convenience for a woman comprises a flexible frame 2 shaped to fit against a womans body around the urethra 8, with means for holding it to, and a flexible impervious bag 12, e.g. of latex, depending from the frame 2 having an opening 19, with which a detachable receptacle 23 communicates to receive discharged urine. The frame 2, embedded in the upper edge of the bag 12, has a coiled wire core and includes a rear portion 7 extending into the vagina 9, a front portion 4 engaging the body as in Fig. 4 and side portions 5, 6 extending rearwardly from the ends thereof. The frame 2 may be held in position by a strap 13, 14 secured to it and extending around the body. A tubular nipple 20 depends from the bag at 12 the opening 19 and is connected at 22 to a tube 21, detachably secured at the other end to the receptacle 23.
