672,970. Suction cleaners. LANGDOWN, A. W. F. May 9, 1949 [Nov. 16, 1948], No. 29804/48. Class 8 (i). [Also in Group XI] A portable suction unit for use in cleaning chimneys (see Group XI) comprises an upper section 11 to which a flexible pipe carrying soot &c. from the chimney is attached, a section 8 which contains removable litter bags 9 for retaining the soot and is provided with an air exhaust 10 and a lower section 6 containing an electrically operated suction device. A fourth section 13 may be provided to contain spare adaptors and flexes &c. and a pad containing disinfectant may be placed over the exhaust 10.
