Abstract
728,301. Tracks for overhead conveyers. KING, D. M. June 18, 1953 [July 17, 1952], No. 18136/52. Class 104 (2). A track assembly, for a conveyer system in which load-carrying trolleys are propelled along an overhead track by pusher dogs carried by an endless driving chain suspended from trolleys running on a track disposed above the load-carrying trolley track has two vertically-spaced tracks formed by oppositely facing L-shaped elements 10, 11 supported at spaced intervals along their length by L-shaped brackets 12 each bracket at its foot supporting one of the L-shaped track units forming the lower track 10 and the upper track L-shaped units forming the track 11 being disposed between the vertical limbs of the brackets 12 and suspended from bolts 15 interconnecting the brackets 12. The lowermost track units 10 are held in position by clips 13 and countersunk bolts 14. The tracks are spaced by distance pieces 16 mounted on the bolts 15. Cover tracks 17 are provided above the track 11 at vertical bends and curves.
