Abstract

Conveyed products are carried forward on a pair of spaced, parallel roller tracks by temporary attachment to lugs on a towing chain between and below the tracks. The chain is driven by a chain wheel of which the upper face serves as a live corner plate on the inside of a return bend in the conveyor, the outside of the bend being formed by a curved extension of one roller track whilst the other track ends at the live corner. Can provide extensive conveying length in a compact space by employing many 180 degrees bends. Suitable for cooling and conditioning conveyors such as for cheeses. Construction and maintenance are comparatively simple.
