728,285. Cooling-radiators. VOITH GES., J. M. July 24, 1951 [Aug. 21, 1950], No. 17473/51. Class 64 (3). A radiator for a vehicle-engine cooling system comprises two or more rows of cooling units 2 arranged within a casing 1 provided with main headers 3, 4 for each row with which individual headers 5, 5<SP>1</SP> of each unit communicate by means of flexibly-coupled screw connections, either or both of the main headers 3, 4 being united to or formed with the casing 1 so as to be integral therewith. The flexible connections shown are of the kind described in Specification 728,360, each comprising a flexible sleeve having at each end flanges by means of which the sleeve 14 or 14<SP>1</SP> is clamped in position on the associated headers using threaded flanged bushes 21, 22 or 21<SP>1</SP>, 22<SP>1</SP>. Access to these bushes for removing an individual cooling unit is obtained by removing caps 7 or 8 provided respectively on the main headers 3 and 4. Cooling air is induced or forced through the units 2 by a fan 25.
