Abstract
727,350. Core constructions. KLEINSCHANZLIN-PUMPEN AKT.-GES. Jan. 21, 1953 [Jan. 21, 1952; Dec. 10, 1952], No. 1770/53. Class 35. A laminated stator 1 is encased in a sheet of metal casing 3 which is pressed into longitudinal grooves 2 on the cylindrical outer surface of the stator laminations which are held together by end rings 6 having annular grooves 5 with which inwardly bent ends 4 of the casing engage. The stator laminations are first placed upon a mandrel, then pressed and finally encased, as described above. Additional grooves 8 (Fig. 4, not shown) may be provided in the rings 6 to obtain greater connection between the latter and the casing 3. A corrugated metal sheet 9 is arranged to surround the casing 3 to which it is welded at the points of contact. The sheet 9 is interrupted near the grooves 2 and further subdivisions may be made as shown in Fig. 6. The ribs of the sheet 9 may be arranged with adjacently disposed inner surfaces as in Fig. 7 (not shown).
