726,396. Swivels, hooks, etc.; locking bolts. MORRIS, F. M., and MORRIS, Ltd., H. Aug. 18, 1953, No. 22763/53. Classes 24, 89(1) and 89(2). A mounting for shank hooks, eyes, shackles and the like A having a shank about which they swivel, comprises a split ferrule E, Fig. 1, encircling a reduced diameter part B of the shank and having a threaded exterior for engaging a cross head F, &c. Part B is bounded by enlarged bosses C, D and the ferrule, if of ferrous metal is locked by welding as at G, Fig. 2, between the ferrule and cross-head. Where the ferrule is of non-ferrous metal, its upper flange E is shaped, e.g. hexagonally, for engagement by a steel washer, having a similarly-shaped aperture and which is welded to the crosshead.
