Class 6( Grinding apparatus for sluice valves J and their tightening clacks comprises a driving shaft E for rotating a grinding wheel I through gearing F, G and a member K mounted on the driving shaft and adapted to be secured to. a fixed part of a structure, the grinding wheel being mounted in swivel bearings H so that it can adapt itself to the angle of the parts to be ground. The shaft E is rotated through gears C, D from a spindle B which is fitted with a hand crank and jo.urnaled in a sleeve B1 connected by a yoke B2 to a second sleeve E1 supporting the shaft E. The member K, which may be in the form of a rim, is pivotally mounted on a member around the shaft E and adapted to be locked thereto.
