Abstract

724,706. Door and like frames. CIRILLO, S. March 13, 1953, No. 7034/53. Class 20 (3). The upright members 1 of a door or like frame are anchored to the surrounding structure by plates 32 each gripping a plate 34 with a horizontal flat portion 36 having an upturned laterally extending rim 37 with holes for fixing. The lower ends of plates 32 are secured across the inner channels of the members to stiffen them. Members 1 are joined to a transverse member 2 at a mitred joint by tongues 17 engaging slots 20 in member 2, and by hingelike plates 9, 11, spot welded to the insides of the mitred flanges 3, 4 and united by a pin 13. The frame has partly punched out discs which can be broken out to form screw holes for the hinges and striker plate, and openings for the latch or bolt.
