Abstract

724,529. Thermal switches. DIAMOND H SWITCHES, Ltd. April 29, 1953 [May 9, 1952], No. 11829/52. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXIX] Adjusting means for a thermostatic electric switch comprising a disengageable driving connection between an operating spindle 10 and a member 6 which is adjusted thereby includes an angularly adjustable stop 22, locked by a screw 23, whereby when a cover 3 carrying the operating spindle is removed the member 6 cannot be rotated sufficiently to upset the calibration of the device. The disengageable connection consists of a projection 12 on the member 6 engaging a slot in a member 11 fixed to the spindle 10. A screw 14 clamps an operating dial or knob 13 to the spindle 10, being threaded through an upturned arm 16 of a plate 17 between which and a plate 19 is clamped by screws 18 a plate 20 non-rotatably mounted on the spindle 10. This arrangement facilitates calibration. Specification 724,528, [Group XXIX], is referred to.
