Heading H1N The description is the same as for Specification 1,225,971, but the claims are directed to a thermostatically controlled electric switch comprising a thermally responsive device 12, an operating member 20 positioned by device 12, a spring 22 against which member 20 bears, a plate 19 which pivots about two pivot points upon movement of member 20, which has an aperture 21 through which member 20 passes, and to which spring 22 is secured, and an electric switch arranged to be operated by plate 19, spring 22 being a leaf-spring secured at its ends to plate 19.
