Abstract

724,436. Spray carburetters. REISTAD, R., and SONNICHSEN, F. March 6, 1953 [Jan. 26, 1953], No. 6279/53. Class 7 (3). A carburetter fuel nozzle comprising a tube 1 with a central bore fed with fuel and connected by a plurality of radially arranged apertures 8 to an annular chamber 6 from which the fuel is sprayed through an annular slot 7 is characterised in that the upper end of the central bore of the tube 1 is open and a valve actuating rod 10 connected to a valve 9 controlling the fuel inlet to the tube 1 passes freely therethrough. The valve 9 is conical and is provided with a notch therein which provides a greater flow passage at maximum throttle opening, the valve rod 10 being connected to the throttle valve 19 for actuation therewith.
