Abstract

723,721. Spray-producers. TECALEMIT, Ltd. Nov. 17, 1952 [Dec. 19, 1951], No. 29012/52. Class 69 (3). Viscous material, e.g. bitumen, is sprayed from a pistol comprising a tubular container 1 for the spray material, a cover 2 integral with a handle 3, and a hollow rod 5 extending through the container through which pressure fluid passes from a passage 9 to a spray nozzle 18 in a base 4. The fluid flows through an annular outlet between the nozzle 18 and a cap 22 to atomize the material which is forced through the nozzle by a follower 8 acted upon by pressure fluid led to the rear of the follower via passages 12, 13. A filling tube 17 is closed by a screw plug 25, the end of which plug is forced into the nozzle outlet 27 during the filling operation. A vent 14 is closed by the operator's thumb during spraying.
