716,363. Bakers' ovens. FLORIAN, O. July 3, 1950 [July 4, 1949], No. 16505/50. Class 51 (2) In a baker's oven of the endless conveyer type heated partly by radiant tubes 5, and intended particularly for the baking of rye bread, even and gradual baking is obtained by extracting the oven atmosphere by a fan 8 and returning it to the front and rear of the oven over the loaves on the conveyer 1 by ducts 9 and 11 respectively, a heater 10 being disposed in the duct 9 and a damper 12 in the duct 11. Pipes 6 provide a steam curtain at the oven entrance and one or more offtakes 13 are disposed in the duct 9 for the removal of excess steam rising from the loaves.
