Abstract
715,728. Filters. SPODIC, H. Nov. 15, 1952. No. 28886/52. Addition to 691,388. Class 46. [Also in Group II] The annular plates of ferromagnetic material 1, Fig. 1, of the parent Specification, are radially corrugated and apertured at 8, Fig. 2, and have layers of gauze 3, 4, secured to each plate around the outer edge by a rim 5. The central holes in the gauzes are bordered separately by rims 6 resting on the corrugations of the plates 1. A plurality of such units is stacked, alternating with the diamagnetic spacer rings, around a bar magnet and between pole pieces at its ends. The gauze may be of paramagnetic or diamagnetic material. A diamagnetic filter tube may be interposed between the rings and the bar magnet.
