Abstract

536,071. Air filters; respirators. DAVIS, Sir R. H. Dec. 8, 1939, No. 31823. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] An air filter particularly for use in respirators comprises a pile of superimposed annuli of filterpaper 1 to 7, adjacent members being secured together in an air-tight manner alternately at the outer and inner circumferences. This is effected by placing narrow rings 9 to 14 of non-metallic material between adjacent layers where the air-tight connection is to be made, and washers 15, 16 of similar material at the opposite circumferences, bolts 20 being passed through the whole assemblage.
