631,911. Gas filters. ELLIOT, W. G. Aug. 26, 1947, No. 23555. [Class 8(ii)] In an air filter comprising a plurality of spaced plates 3 each having a plurality of peripherally flanged apertures 11, the apertures of one plate being offset in relation to those in the adjacent plate, the plates 3 are circular and one peripherally flanged at 4 to effect spacing of contacting plates, and in that the aperture flanges 12 consist of spaced burred slots extending parallel to each other so as to provide U-shaped channels between them. The plates 3 may be coated with oil.
