Class 39(1) In a two-stage electrostatic precipitator corrugated plates 3 are provided between the two stages 1, 4 so as to prevent radiations from the ionizing stage penetrating directly into the collecting stage and so causing ionization there. The corrugated plates 3 are preferably earthed.
