Abstract
798,661. Electrostatic precipitation. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. Oct. 10, 1956, No. 30882/56. Class 39(1). In an electrostatic precipitator the collecting electrodes consist of, or include, rotatable plates which in certain positions provide dust collecting surfaces and in other positions form quiescent dust channels or shoots through which the dust may be caused to fall by vibration. As shown, the collecting electrodes are rows of X-shaped plates 5 pivoted at their upper and lower ends. The dust collecting surfaces face discharge electrodes 6 and the plates can be rotated to provide dust channels 7. In other embodiments plane plates may be pivoted at their edges on either side of fixed partitions, or plane plates projecting through fixed partitions may be pivoted at their centres.
