Abstract
715,653. Oil-break switches. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES. March 20, 1952 [March 22, 1951; July 24, 1951], No. 7235/52. Class 38(5) In a low oil-content circuit-breaker comprising main contacts 2. 3 which are shunted by a resistance 6 and are in series with further contacts 12, 13, the contacts 2, 3 are arranged in a substantially vertical insulator 5 and the contacts 12. 13 in an insulator 15 arranged at a larger angle to the vertical than the first, the two insulators being carried by a common support 10. The movable contacts 3, 13 are operated in that order by a rotatable insulator 20 over gearing 21 and driving screws 7, 17. In Fig. 2 (not shown), two such circuit-breakers are arranged in series on a common carriage with the insulators 15 adjacent each other.
