Abstract
715,568. X-ray apparatus. SIEMENS-REINIGER-WERKE AKT.-GES. July 7, 1952 [July 7, 1951], No. 17050/52. Class 98(1) In therapeutic apparatus having members such as a source of rays, or X-ray examination apparatus having members such as a fluorescent screen. a camera for photographing the image on the screen, or the like, said members being fitted to a support so as to be adjustable and to project horizontally from the support, a supporting arrangement is provided between the projecting parts of the apparatus and a part which is separate from the apparatus and stationary. the supporting arrangement consisting of at least two rigid members which are adjustable relatively to one another. As shown, a carriage 7 slidable on a tilt table 3 adjustably supports an X-ray tube 5, and an arm 8 carrying a fluorescent screen 6 and a photographic camera 9. The end of arm 8 is supported by a rod 12 telescopically engaging a tube 10, the rod and tube being releasably fixed by an electro-magnetic device 14. Rod 12 is fixed to an arm 19 pivoted to a carriage 25 which runs on rails 29 fixed to the ceiling. Electromagnets 24, 27 are provided to clamp carriage 25 and arm 19 respectively in place.
