Abstract

669,182. Optical - projection apparatus. RIJNS, M. Aug. 1, 1947 [May 1, 1941], No. 20977/47. Class 97 (i). Optical-projection drawing-apparatus has an object-supporting table displaceable in three mutually perpendicular directions, a lens system displaceable perpendicularly to the object table and mounted in a lighting hood open at its lower end adjacent the object table, and a transparent drawing table, on which an image is formed, displaceable parallel to the plane of the object table and angularly thereto. As shown, the frame 1, on the base 2, has an upper portion 3 supporting the drawing table 4 laterally adjustable by a rack 102 and pinion 101 operated by the hand wheel 10. The table may be inclined by adjustment of supporting screws 9. The projection lens 12, lighting unit 13, hood 6 and curtain 14 are vertically adjustable by the screw 8. The object table 5 is vertically adjustable by the screw 7 and laterally adjustable by rack 112 and pinion 11<SP>1</SP> operated by the hand wheel 11. A backwards and forwards adjustment is provided by another rack-andpinion mechanism, both racks being wide enough for each not to be disengaged from its pinion when the other is operated.
