715,538. Filters. CANNING & CO., Ltd., W. March 10, 1953 [March 21, 1952], No. 7325/52. Class 46 A filter bag made from a cotton or like absorbent fabric has combined with it a surrounding sleeve made from nylon secured to the bag adjacent its open end. A device for filtering electrolytic solutions used in electro-deposition comprises a cotton bag c of cylindrical form closed at its lower end and supported internally by a wire grid f or a perforated rigid tube ; the bag is enclosed by a thin fabric sleeve i woven from nylon. The sleeve is secured to the bag at its upper end but is open at its lower end. Filtration takes place inwards; washing, with water, is outwards.
