167,045. Harman, E. J., and Le Bas, E. June 8, 1920. Filtering.-A dust collector for use with vacuum and other cleaning-apparatus comprises a cylinder carried by the apparatus and closed at one end by a permanent cap 2 and at the other by a removable cap 3 to which is fixed one end of a dusty-air inlet tube 4 and one end of each of one or more filter tubes 6 extending the length of the cylinder. The filter tubes are formed of wire covered with fabric. A pad 10 of felt &c. soaked in deodorizing or disinfecting liquid may be provided, forming a joint between the cylinder and the removable cap 3.
