714,666. Propelling ships. KLATTE, T., [trading as KLATTE, T. [Firm of]], Oct. 10, 1952 [Oct. 16, 1951], No. 25466/52. Class 114 The propeller is driven by a hollow shaft 12 along which flows oil to the hydraulic motor 17, .18, the assemblage being mounted so as to pivot about the vertical shaft 5 for steering purposes. This shaft comprising two concentric tubes 8 and 9 to form supply and return passages for the hydraulic fluid. In a modification the motor can be adjusted vertically on the vertical shaft to vary the depth of immersion of the propeller.
