Abstract

<PICT:0712086/IV(c)/1> <PICT:0712086/IV(c)/2> In apparatus for treating fabric webs 10 with gaseous fluids while conveyed by apparatus gripping the edges of the material, nozzles A, B, C through which is blown the treating fluid have blowing noses communicating with the nozzles and extending in the longitudinal direction of the fabric to treat the edges thereof. The noses comprise lateral inclined walls 19 and inclined end walls 20, 201 and each nozzle is closed by a plate 17 with slits 7 and ending as a triangular part 18 with additional slits. The nozzzles are telescopic to allow adjustment for different widths of the fabric which is supported by stenter clips 9a, 9b travelling on rails 8a, 8b.
