711,455. Reciprocating pumps. SCHIECHE, R. Oct. 30, 1952 [Nov. 2, 1951], No. 27331/52. Class 102 (1). [Also in Group XXIII] A reservoir shaving-brush comprises a hollow handle 1 which is connected with the bristles by means of a tube 6 having a normally closed cap 11 and a rod 5 which carries a piston 7 which is shaped to pass within a cylindrical space 9. The cap 11 is attached to an extension of the rod 5. The handle is filled with a shaving liquid and to charge the bristles the brush is inverted and the rod 5 depressed, thus opening the cap 11 and forcing the small quantity of liquid sealed off by the piston 7 within the space 9 through the tube 6. On releasing the pressure, the piston is restored to its original position by means of the spring 8, and on re-inverting the brush any liquid remaining in the tube 6 runs back into the space within the handle 1.
