709,807. Crane jib sheaves. THOMAS, R. V. Dec. 14, 1951 [Jan. 1, 1951], No. 23/51. Classes 78 (4) and 78 (5) A fairlead for guiding a loadwire to a crane jib head sheave Z comprises a ballrace H, Fig. 4, through which the wire is adapted to pass, the ballrace being pivotally mounted on a slide E which is adapted to move along a guide C fixed to the jib head so that said slide may be positioned to prevent dislodgement of the wire from the head sheave. As shown, the slide E is formed in two parts for easy removal of wire and roller B additionally guides the wire.
