[Also in Group XI] In the manufacture of a gas burner comprising a mass of porous sintered metal 15 surrounding one or more jet tubes 16 whereby a pilot flame 9 is provided, adjacent one or more main flames 10 (see Group XI), the mass 15 may be moulded directly about the tube or tubes 16 and the assembly then sintered and subsequently sprayed with aluminium to form a non-porous casing 7. The latter is then pressed into a sleeve 5 screwed into a casing 1 having a gas supply passage 3.
