Abstract
707,679. Roofing elements; roofs. GOEDEL, K. Dec. 12, 1951 [Aug. 30, 1951], No. 29136/51. Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1) In a roofing element 1 having hollow beads 2, 4 at its side edges and one or more intermediate beads 3, the upper edge 5 is bent over towards the outer face and the lower edge 6 towards the inner face of the element and the beads increase in width and height from their upper to their lower ends. Narrow flanges 11 are provided at the outer edges of the beads 2, 4. The folds at the upper and lower edges terminate short of the side edges of the element. Additional pressed-out ribs 7-10 may be provided or the element may be of corrugated form. The elements may be of metal or of plastics which may be metal-coated. At the lower edge of a roof, elements with downturned lower edges or separate eaves-pieces may be provided. At a gable end, elements with raised edge beads are provided. The elements may be secured to roof battens by clips 19 engaging the upper folds 5. Alternatively, the elements may be formed with holes to receive bolts which engage battens or hook bolts 20 which engage hook members 21 embracing section-irons.
