Class 138 (2) In a wringer comprising a drainer 3 and a top rail 5 secured together by bolts 7, end covers 13 acting as distance pieces between the top rail and drainer, entirely or substantially enclose the bolts and other working parts. Helical springs 9 surrounding the bolts 7 bear against a stirrup 11 suspended from the shaft of the top roller 1. Star wheel gearing may be fitted inside one or both covers, and the wringer may be fitted with pressure adjusting screws (not shown).
