706,591. Thermal regenerators. SOC. ANON A. SAURER. Jan. 1, 1952 [Oct. 12, 1951], No. 17/52. Class 64(1) A heat storing and transmitting element 9 for a regenerative heat-exchanger comprises a strip of woven wire folded into zig-zag form, the resultant layers being forced together to form a prismshaped body. A heat-storage body 6, slidable transversely of gas passage 4, 5, is divided into separate parallel cells 8 containing the elements 9. The cells are narrower than the walls 1, 2, 3 of the passages 4, 5.
