705,751. Gear pumps. WATSON, L. H. May 1, 1952 [May 2, 1951], No. 10286/51. Class 110 (2) Gears 5, 6 are mounted on shafts 7, 8 supported in bearings 9, 10 placed outside of packing members 12, 13. Sleeves 15 separate the shafts from the packing. The circular crosssections of inlet and outlet pipes 17 are gradually changed to elongated ports 18 in the pump chamber. The bearings may be plain bearings. Greasing nipples may be provided for the lower bearings.
