Abstract

865,827. Gear pumps. GYREACTA TRANSMISSIONS Ltd. Dec. 1, 1959 [Sept. 5, 1958], No. 28658/58. Class 110 (2). Meshing gears 2, 3 have helical teeth 4, and inlets 10, 11 through which oil and air are supplied separately. Oil at, or slightly above, atmospheric pressure, is also supplied through parts 12, 13 compressing the air in the root spaces of the teeth, before the delivery port 14 is reached, and the oil and air discharged and separated. The pump may be used to evacuate a flywheel chamber such as described in Specification 728,122.
