Abstract
704,715. Rotary mould-table presses. DORSTENER EISENGIESSERI UND MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES. Feb. 20, 1952 [March 30, 1951]. No. 4443/52. Class 87 (2) A mechanically driven revolving table press in which the movements of the table are effected by means of a shifting carriage is fitted with a controlling device which interrupts the regular revolutions of the table one or more times so that two or more pressings of the mould filling are effected at the same position of the table. The shifting carriage 3 is moved to and fro at every revolution of a crank pin 6 and on its forward movement rotates the table .1 through part of a revolution if a pin 12, carried by the shifting carriage 3 and urged upwards by a spring (not shown) engages a stop 15 on the table. Below the shifting carriage is a rail 10, pivoted at 11 and connected through linkage 16 to a wheel 9 driven from the crank shaft 7. When the non-pivoted end of the rail 10 is raised by the linkage and the shifting carriage 3 makes its return stroke, rollers 13 on the lower end of the pin 12 pass under flanges on the rail 10, as shown in the detail, and the pin 12 is retracted from the stop 15 on the table 1 which therefore keeps still while the pressing plunger makes one or more additional strokes.
