704,419. Clocks and watches. STRAUMANN, R. Nov. 26, 1951 [Jan. 15, 1951], No. 27680/51. Class 139. In a clockwork lever escapement the working faces of the pallets coacting with the scape wheel teeth are provided with a lubricating film produced by rubbing a minimal quantum of lubricant over these faces and the scape wheel teeth are rounded off at the junction between the impulse and locking faces, to hinder the lubrication on the faces of the pallets coacting with the teeth from being scaped off. The surface of each of the teeth a, Fig. 2, of the escape wheel is rounded off between the impulse and locking faces a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> so as to hinder the scraping off of a film of lubricant on the working faces of the pallets b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP> of the lever b.
