704,251. Crates. ESSEX AERO, Ltd., CROSS, R. J., and HUGHES, F. G. Jan. 1, 1952, [Jan. 3, 1951], No. 294/51. Class 18 The base of a crate having an apertured bottle separating plate 10, has upward projections engaging the sides of the bottles. The projections may comprise the pressed up portions 14 of starshaped apertures, bosses 13 supporting the bases of the bottles. The plate 10 may have either upwardly or downwardly (as shown) directed flanges 18, embossed and secured to the crate frame. A depressed portion 16 of the base may fit into the upper frame of 'a similar crate beneath to assist stacking.
