704,242. Shuttleless looms. FROST, W. H Jan. 18, 1952 [Oct. 18, 1950], No. 22833/50. Class 142(2) In a loom, of the kind described in Specification 614,466, loops of weft are inserted from each side of the shed alternately by two needles operated from one rotary cam 3. driven at the same speed as the bottom shaft and having two grooves 5, 7. A carriage 15 carrying a needle 11 is operated by a roller 16 on the carriage engaging the groove 7. A carriage 19, engaging a guide 14 and carrying a needle 9, is connected by a rod 28 to a carriage 17 operated by a roller 18 thereon, engaging the groove 5. Two needles, one above the other, may be mounted on each of the carriages 15, 19.
