Abstract
A mixture of hydrazine and water vapours is introduced into a saturated solution of hydrazine sulphate maintained at a temperature sufficient to prevent water condensation and to which sufficient sulphuric acid is added to maintain the solution at a pH below 3.5 and convert the absorbed hydrazine to hydrazine sulphate, the sulphate being precipitated and then separated. The filtrate may be recycled as absorbent.
