703,144. Electromechanical filters. COLLINS RADIO CO. Sept. 10, 1952, No. 22731/52. Class 40 (8) An electromechanical filter consists of a series of plane members 13, 16, and 18 mounted in parallel positions and coupled at points offset from their centres by longitudinally rigid coupling means 15 and 17, the coupling means between sucessive members being offset with respect to each other and an input transducer 2 being connected to the end member of the series and an output transducer 7 being connected to another member. The transducers shown are of the magnetostrictive type. The members 13 and coupling means 15 may be made of steel.
