Abstract
Thermally reduced iron ore is concentrated by the process comprising crushing the ore to such an extent that liberated iron flakes are formed, and separating the flakes by classification of the crushed ore into a heavier and/or coarser fraction rich in iron and containing the flakes and a lighter and/or finer fraction. The fractions may subsequently be separated magnetically and part thereof recycled, the gangue being rejected from the process.
