Abstract

702,175. Mixing-appliances. LODIGE, W., and LODIGE, F., [trading as LODIGE OHG, GEB.]. Aug. 9, 1951, No. 18737/51. Class 86 A mixing machine comprises a stationary or axially rotatable cylindrical vessel b and a coaxial shaft c rotatable at a greater rotational speed than the container and carrying spirally disposed scoops f which are shaped so that they pick up the material being mixed from the wall of the vessel and scatter it inwardly and axially through the vessel. The vessel b is provided in its wall with one or more orifices e adapted to be opened or closed and through which fluid may be admitted to the material within the drum as the shaft c is rotating. For the purpose of charging or discharging the vessel b a valve d in the vessel is provided which may be aligned with either of the bellows i and n connected respectively to filling and discharge hoppers g and k.
