Abstract
Mixtures containing surface-active substances and high molecular weight nitrogenous polymeric materials are used as washing and cleansing agents for textiles. The polymeric material may be polymeric N-vinyl pyrrolidone, polyethyleneimine, an interpolymer of N-vinyl pyrrolidone with vinyl alkyl benzimidazole, vinyl caprolactam or vinyl imidazole, or a mixture of polyacrylamide and the sodium or ammonium salts of polyacrylic acid. The surface-active substance may be a soap made from natural or synthetic fatty acids, a substance obtained by the oxidation of paraffins, a fatty alcohol sulphonate, a salt of an alkylated aromatic sulphonic acid, a fatty acid alkyl tauride or an alkali metal salt of a high molecular weight aliphatic sulphonic acid. Glauber's salt may be incorporated.ALSO:Mixtures containing surface-active substances and high molecular weight nitrogenous polymeric materials are used as washing and cleansing agents for textiles. The surface-active substance may be soap made from natural or synthetic fatty acids, a substance obtained by the oxidation of paraffins a fatty alcohol sulphonate, a salt of an alkylated aromatic sulphonic acid, a fatty acid alkyl tauride or an alkali metal salt of a high molecular weight aliphatic sulphonic acid. The polymeric material may be polymeric N-vinyl pyrrolidene polyethyleneimine, an interpolymer of N-vinyl pyrrolidene with vinyl alkyl benzimidazole, vinyl caprolactam or vinyl imidazole, or a mixture of polyacrylamide and the sodium or ammonium salts of polyacrylic acid. Glauber's salt may be incorporated.
