1502560 Bleaching additive B J DATLOW 25 June 1976 26544/76 Heading DIP A composition for addition to textile bleaching baths comprises sodium zinc hexametaphosphate, zinc borate and urea. The composition may be dispersed in an aqueous medium. It may be added to peracetic acid or hypochlorite bleaching baths or after bleaching baths. The composition may enhance the bleaching effect and may replace optical brighteners where the textile is to be dyed subsequently. Where dyeing is not envisaged, optical brighteners may be added. Cotton and cotton/nylon blends may be treated.
